About Legionnaire's Disease

Legionnaire's disease was first identified in 1976 following a large outbreak of pneumonia among attendees at an American Legion Convention.

Legionnaire's is a potentially fatal form of pneumonia which can affect anybody.

The Legionella bacteria are found in sludge, sediment, rust, scale and other materials, and as everyone can be susceptible to the bacteria, water systems need to be cleaned, well maintained, flushed regularly and delivering at the correct temperatures.
